設計目標在於將保存區[公園化]為軸心,設計概念則是保存古蹟本體的歷史情境和營造窯場建築群的優美型態,以及配合公6作為環境綠化,改善愛河中段牛車寮聚落一帶休憩空間不足的問題

1.保存區規劃說明Save Planning description
a.水生植物迴廊:中都地區在窯場興建前原為一片荒無的沼澤地,不利建物興建,而其土壤性質適合作為燒製磚瓦的材料,遂興建窯場,迴廊位置為1號霍夫曼窯舊址
b.南煙囪水池:水池位於2號霍夫曼窯舊址,南煙囪原為1.2號霍夫曼窯的排煙系統,改建倒焰窯後則改為3座倒焰窯的排煙系統
c.半戶外藝文空間:將現存之3號霍夫曼窯設為影像藝術展示空間,霍夫曼窯窯體內空間狹長黑暗,作為光影投射空間可營造其獨特效果
2.6號公園地規劃說明6, Park plan description
a.C16輕軌捷運站:以水為主的概念,讓愛河與窯場互相連結,象徵從城市走入歷史,從窯場一窺高雄過往的痕跡
b.極限運動公園:型塑北高雄運動活潑意象,並與保存區的藝文氣息互為對比
